History

Thijs Lucassen founded Lucassen in 1989 with a conventional turning and milling machine. In its early years, Lucassen quickly grew as a regional supplier of various components used for maintenance and repairs of industrial machinery. To sustain its growth, Lucassen sought opportunities in turning and milling work for the machine building industry. As a result, the premises soon became too small, so in 1997 Lucassen moved to a larger premises facility. The core activities were expanded to include grinding and spark erosion, and during this period, Lucassen primarily served the regional market.

Approximately ten years later, in 2007, the current Managing Director, Daniël Gulikers, took the lead. In the ensuing period, the customer base and, with it, the machinery, gradually changed to an even higher high-tech level. Today, Lucassen operates at the highest standards of precision and cleanliness, producing components for the semiconductor, analytics, and aerospace sectors.

As of March 20, 2024, Lucassen became part of the Andra Tech Group, a consortium of companies focused on the production of precision mechanics, with an emphasis on the growth of individual businesses.
